Roberts and Ryan President Brian Rathjen helped Boulder Crest Retreat raise money to dedicate a treehouse to Marine First Lieutenant Ronald Winchester; a marine who was killed in 2004 in the Iraq war. Brian Rathjen commemorated the ceremony with fellow veterans and family members of First Lieutenant Ronald Winchester.
First Lieutenant Winchester’s family and friends traveled to Bluemont, VA on a bus with other village residents to visit Boulder Crest, a 37-acre retreat for combat veterans, where a treehouse was built and dedicated to him after community members raised $35,000.
Boulder Crest Retreat exists to provide free, world class, short-duration, high-impact retreats for combat veterans and their families. Boulder Crest retreat is also a service offered to military, veterans, first responders and their families that serves to help solve the mental health crisis by helping these individuals and their families live productive service–oriented lives at home.
