Ms. Chan has 16 years of Operations experience in the U.S. Navy, and 2+ years of experience in Sales and Business Development. She also has experience working as a tanker operator for Maersk Brokers, Inc. and sailed for Chevron Shipping. In addition, Ms. Chan is fluent in Mandarin-Chinese and Shanghainese.
Ms. Chan holds SIE and FINRA Series 7 & 63 licenses.
Education and Service
Laura Chan has a 16+ year career in the U.S. Navy and is a Commander – Strategic Sealift Officer, U.S. Navy Reserves. Her last deployment was in support of Commander, U.S. 7th Fleet at Military Sealift Command (MSC) Far East as the Operational Support Officer located in Singapore. Currently, she is in the process of transitioning to her new assignment within the Navy Reserve at the U.S. Transportation Command, located at Scott Air Force Base.
Ms. Chan received her BS in Marine Transportation (Logistics & Intermodal Transportation) from the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy. In addition, she holds an active U.S. Coast Guard Third Mates Unlimited Tonnage license.
