Roberts & Ryan hosted an investor call with Equifax’s Trevor Burns and Sam McKinstry. The conversation was so enjoyable, we could have easily talked for another hour.
Equifax: “Powering the World With Knowledge”
That’s certainly an accurate statement. It’s all about the data, and they have a lot of it. The amount of data that they’ve compiled is impressive, and it continues to grow (+12% last year). Their 3 business lines are Workforce Solutions (largest), U.S. Information Services, and International. We discussed each of these in depth and one thing is clear, there’s significant potential for growth.
“The New Equifax” is how they refer to their company as they’re completing their migration to the cloud. They’ve invested heavily in this transition and the benefits are clear. The company is experiencing “Faster Growth, Higher Margins and Free Cash Flow, and Higher Returns”. The migration is nearly complete, and Trevor brought up a good point, the CapEx that has been dedicated to cloud migration will soon be available for other things.
I’ve already talked to Trevor about doing another call later in the year. Reach out to me if you would like to join us next time!
