I enjoyed the investor call Roberts & Ryan hosted with the management team of Whitestone REIT (NYSE: WSR). There was a lot of engagement from participating asset managers – just what we like to see.
Whitestone is a small cap REIT with an excellent management team: Dave Holeman, Scott Hogan, Christine Mastandrea, and David Mordy. I’ve been to some of their properties and they’re beautiful. The company is very interested in seeing their tenants do well, and they work hard to make sure they have the right tenants in the right locations.

When I asked for 3 takeaways from the call, they had a great response:
“We have the (1) Right Properties, the (2) Right Locations, and the (3) Right Tenant Mix”.
