Roberts & Ryan Investments Inc. was honored to take part in the 12th Annual Veterans On Wall Street (VOWS) symposium hosted by Citi.
VOWS focuses on promoting successful relationships between veterans and their employers and providing tools and mentorship to transitioning veterans as well as on going guidance to veterans that have already begun their private sector careers.
Edward Skyler, Citi’s EVP of Global Public Affairs, kicked off the symposium with inspiring opening remarks highlighting some of the great accomplishments of VOWS and the need to continue VOWS’ mission.
Brian Rathjen, R&R’s president, took part in the “Executives’ Impression Panel” along with Suni Harford (President UBS Asset Management & a Cofounder of VOWS), Gary Shedlin (CFO Blackrock), Mercedes Elias (Co-CEO Amerivest), Jeffrey Barden (Head of Strategy HSBC), Ralph Andretta (CEO Bread Financial), and Tim Hartzell (Global Head of Portfolio Management) moderated by Erika Irish Brown (Chief Diversity Officer Citi).
The panel offered great insights, not only providing veterans guidance in their careers, but also advice to those running veteran ERG efforts within companies to further VOWS mission and commitment to veterans now and into the future.
