Kimco Realty Corporation owns and operates open-air, grocery anchored shopping centers and mixed-use assets. I’ve known the company for years and I follow the REIT space pretty closely, and I still learned a tremendous amount from Ross and Dave today.
Things are going well for the company and their fundamentals are solid. Trends are working in their favor – significantly – and their balance sheet is very strong. We talked about their business for over an hour, and they gave very detailed responses to every question. I can’t think of a better way to learn about a company!
Something that really caught my attention is their strategy to build multi-family residential units on their land. These high-quality developments are a “win” for everyone and it’s just one of the creative ways that the Kimco team is creating shareholder value.
